Château de Beaucastel
Hommage à Jacques Perrin Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend
Lovely intense ruby. A bit of spice and spectacular deep fruit. Really very good.

Jan 8th, 2020From a magnum purchased in Paris on release. When viewed in the decanter no signs of age. This is a wine that has a little bit of everything both on the nose and the palate . Earth, funk, red fruit, plums, spice, leather, and cigar box. All of these elements are showcased and supported by an abundance of tannin and acid. Powerful but silky. Hands down the best 1998 CDP I have tasted .

Dec 30th, 2016These magnums of 1998 HJP did not have labels since it was from the Caves of Beaucastel. ~60 percent Mouvedre with the rest made up of Syrah and Grenache from the best plots at Beaucastel.
