2016 vintage. Dutch-owned Cru Bourgeois ( Nieuwaal family). A blend of 49% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and equal parts of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. A bit rustic, but decent value.

Oct 27th, 2022Showing really well, I’m going back for a case at <13€/ bottle. Cherry/cassis/olive/mint at first opening, umami comes out with air, Tannins start slightly clunky but they round out after about an hour, finishes with decent length. Medium bodied, this comes off as a more moderate, almost feminine style. Sleek, nimble, well composed and very well made.
