Mmmm there’s something wonderfully divine about South of France Rosé. After one sip you feel like you should be sitting by a canal eating cheese in the sunshine. I received this lovely wee sample from frenchvine.com.au (thank you 😘).
“Former Wallaby David Lyons and his wife Justine founded French Vine in 2016 after moving back to Australia from Paris with the vision of sharing their edit of French wine not previously available in this market.”
This bottle of Chateau d’Astor 2014 is from the Côtes de Provence and retails for $36.
It’s a onion skin colour in the glass. While on the nose it’s crisp, clean and full of minerality, cranberries and nectarines. In the mouth it’s elegant and dry with flavours of cherries and a hint of savouriness. We teamed this up with spice grilled chicken thigh kebabs and walnut salsa (recipe from the Dish Mag)👌
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #winesample #tcweekdaywine
