Château d'Arthus
Bordeaux Red Bordeaux Blend
Tasty wine--could drink it all day. Fruity and sweet, not terribly complex.

Mar 18th, 2015Pretty happy with this one - a good every dY Bordeaux. Not to dry, good mouth feel and lots of dark red fruit / jammy. Good price point at $13.

Jun 21st, 2020Had the 2016 in November of 2019. Enjoyed the hints of oak and tobacco on the nose but felt that the wine lacked body. Not a lot of flavor that lingered on the tongue. Was okay but nothing special. Sort of expected a bit more from a Bordeaux. Guessing this was a World Market purchase.

Nov 26th, 2019Color of cloudy purple with some bright ruby hue. Nose of nice dark fruits like cherry, cherry jam, blackberry, spice, some tobacco leaves, and some strength of alcohol. Taste of spicy tannins, oaky note, a bit refined sweetness, nice strawberry note, a touch of vanilla and zest, and some fresh grape. Aftertaste is medium long, with sweet and spicy notes surface more while tannins is pretty much marginal. A bit light considering she is a Bordeaux, but a crowd pleaser for sure. Not sure why she has lower ratings from others.

Oct 12th, 2019Not very complex in flavor. Slightly sweet and fruity, with an inky texture. The smell is a strong tarte plum scent. Drinkable, but not a personal favorite as far as Bordeaux's go.
