Côtes du Jura Blanc Chardonnay Savagnin
Wow, what a funky and crazy white. These Jura wines are kickin'. So much "barrel room funk" on the nose with fresh orchard fruit on the palate. A driving minerality cutting through the entire thing, this has a lot of life and a lot of complexity. Not a "daily drinker," but definitely a thinker. 70% Chardonnay, 30% Savagnin. 2009 vintage, aged until 2014.

May 18th, 2017Yes! Nothing quite like a top aged Cotes du Jura to start off the evening. I remember fondly attending a birds of pray show at the chateau after a tasting in 1998. Wonderful golden eagles!
