I don’t quite follow the Garagiste story of this vintage, but glad to have it for $20. Feels like it’s on the down slope of life, but still lovely at 12y. + short ribs = yum.

Coffee, black currant, some tertiary aromas (earth, mushrooms). The palate is more on the length than on the width. Currant again, raspberry, loads of acidity. The finish is quite long with a nice fruity finish. Nice wine but the nose is much more appealing than the palate, creating expectations that aren't met. Is this because of the vintage?

Color of dark burgundy with some orange tone on the rim. Nose is nice with dried sweet strawberries, spice, hickory, some leather, mineral, cherry, all morphed together. Taste of still very solid acidity and tannins, chewy, fresh grapes, a bit zesty, a bit bitter, slightly sweet, and quite tasty. Aftertaste shows some more oak, mineral note, peppery, and some more ripe grapes. Very good to enjoy now.

Smooth, approachable and not one to let sit around much longer. So drink up!

Color of thick blood, cloudy, with grapefruit hue on the rim. Nose of very nice dried strawberry, vanilla, plum, aldehyde, leather, and a touch of mineral. Taste of still solid but polished tannins, vanilla, milky, spice, flowering note, cherry, oaky, and zest note. Round and polished. Aftertaste is long with nice tannins, cherry jam, some flowering note, right amount of zest, clean and full of flavors. Enjoy her now.

A little musty at first smell, but opened up quickly after 30 minutes decant. Was well balanced, medium bodied and smooth on the palate. Easy drinker!

Brandied cherries, figs, plum, cassis, leather, cigar box, cedar, coffee grounds, iron, clay. Rounded acidity, juicy-satin texture, refined smooth velvet tannins, medium bodied, smoky peppery finish. Evolved aromatics, structure and texture are softer than the nose suggests. Drinking at its peak.
