A distinguished glowing black-garnet red color followed by bouquet that captures ripe plum, fig, cacao, leather and vanilla spices. Full bodied, with balanced tannins and savory flavors of blackberry and plum. I’m partial to those Italians but this one takes the cake!

Earthy, clay and medium bodied. First time I picked out a right bank Bordeaux on purpose and the first time I’ve identified clay and menthol in a wine. I appreciate it more than I like it. Maybe this needs more than the 60 minute decanting I gave it...EDIT: Almost 24 hours later and this wine has opened up. Poured remaining half back into bottle and I’m impressed with plum and dark fruits way more present (to me!). More supple and versatile today.

Right bank Bordeaux, 85% Merlot, 9% Cab Franc and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet color and full bodied. Cassis, leather and some liquorice notes and a smooth medium tannic finish. Delicious and good value.

Want to try a second bottle. Something on the finish with the tannins that doesn't seem right. SS
