Had another bottle in the cellar. Dark purple color of this Second Growth Bordeaux. A complex nose of red and black fruits and sweet spice. Palate displays full ripe fruits, blackberry, cherry and raspberry, some pepper spice with a big soft tannin structure aging well. The long finish showed some vanilla notes on the end. Drinking well now, still young.

2007 a sub par year with cool wet weather then dry late.

A 1 hour decant (little cloudy sediment). A inspiring dark garnet color with some nice bricking on the sides for this 2nd growth. On the nose: green veggie, black olive, plum, cassis, and just a little of that Margaux perfume. Taste: A medium body, soft wine with chocolate, little black cherry, leather....a smokey tobacco slightly astringent medium finish. Low acidity, and any elegance and finesse is buried and not going to rise like a zombie from the grave...drink em if you got em.

Decanted for three hours. This wine has evolved to a place where the fruit is no longer at centre stage, but instead puts forth a slight baseline of sour cherry to accompany the main chorus of cinnamon, leather and graphite. Medium body, medium acidity, medium alcohol. Solid, if not my preference.

Oscar night.......time to break out a 2nd growth, non great vintage(2007). Dacanted 1 hour(min sediments). Medium red with a hue of brown. On the nose: Barnyard funk (which I luv and blows off after an hour)....green vegies, red fruit, leather, mint. Taste: blueberry, plum, smoke, pencil lead...tannins semi sweet with slight bite at the end.

2007 vintage on 8 and 9.12.17
Purple red with a thin edge. In the nose waves of cinnamon and broth though the green pepper (paprika) keeps dominating it. In the mouth savory notes with sour and bitters present. Not my type of wine.
