2016 vintage. One of the best wines to be found under the humble "Bordeaux Supérieur" appellation. Very elegant with bright crisp red fruit and a minty freshness. Impeccable balance and very good length. As always very reliable. Highly recommended.

2020 primeur. Impressive Cuvée O'Byrne barrel sample. Punching above it's weight, as usual. Impressive concentration and depth, tastes like something in between Saint-Emilion and Pessac-Léognan. Terrific value.

2015 vintage. This is the top wine of this small 8 hectares estate, named after the 18th century Irish priest owner. A blend of Merlot (40%), Cabernet Franc (35%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (25%). Not for label drinkers since it is a humble Bordeaux Supérieur, but punching well above its weight. Refined and classy, this is all about subtlety. This medium-bodied elegant wine is in a very good place now, but should age well. Nice long fresh minty finish. Very good value at 15 euros.

Classic Bordeaux in a successful vintage. Blackberry, tobacco, nice acidity.

This is a Bordeaux from St. Emilion that punches well above its weight. Rich fruit with retreating tannins make it a very enjoyable wine.
