The most expensive rose I’ve tasted, and no doubt the best as well.
My notes from last year still apply. In addition, there are both savory and saline touches on the long finish. The acidity is just about perfect.
‘21 is the inaugural release of this tiny production, a year after the Glass Fire pretty much destroyed the entire home vineyard.

Sep 23rd, 2024One of the best rose I’ve tasted. The bouquet radiates with blackberry, raspberry, blood orange, red/black tea, and light fresh herbs. Medium body. Refreshing and smooth upon entry and build complexity and weight on the mid palate. Hint of tannins on the long finish.
Hallberg vineyard is about 100 acres spanning 3 AVA: Russian River Valley, Green Valley (itself is a sub AVA of RRV) and Sonoma Coast. Different bottlings might show different AVA on the labels.
