I believe we need to continue on the Bordeaux front my favorite. This was purchased for around $19. The nose is blackberry, black currant, stewed prunes, vanilla, and bakers chocolate. On the palate the ripe dark fruit comes through, black currant, savory flavors, black pepper and some herbal notes. Medium + acidity, medium + unresolved tannins and a good finish.

Complex nose of leather, charcoal, spices, smoked meat, dust. Alcohol on the palate, pushed up by soft tannins with a dry end.

great smell, fantastic balanced taste, but hurts my head a bit.

Jun 5th, 2019Here we are two years later and the 2009, at 9 years of ageing has done quite well. The tannins seem to have softened and it’s delightfully smooth. Very drinkable with notes of red berries. A definite keeper.

Mar 3rd, 2018Had a taste of the hubby's glass. Delightful and complex. Very rich in tannins, dry and bold. Definitely would like to try alongside roasted meats.
