Chateau Angélus acquired a 50% share in the company. 100% Merlot, deep purple with aromas of black fruits, spice and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of savory fruit, plums, blackberry & cherry with licorice, tobacco and cacao. Chalky fine round tannins, well balanced ending with mineral and earthy character.

Last Friday was our normal 4th Friday happy hour at the storage facility, but since this month had 5 Fridays, why not keep the party going?!

If you have this, open it now! What a gorgeous drinking window! Candied tobacco. Plum, cinnamon and a tad bit of tar. All cylinders right now.

Tonnes of oak on nose, cocoa and nutmeg abound, decadent plums, sandalwood,, leather and root underneath. Relative fresh for the hot year, still alcohol on finish. Quite astringent, lacking concentration as well, little minerality. At $350, this a monumentous weak showing. 2003 vintage.

Tight as a drum and super concentrated. Tannin hits like a hammer. Maybe a great future? Check back in 5-10 yrs
