Cellars date back to 1843), although Chateau has kept the charm of a Medoc wine estate, it has modernized efficient thermo-regulation systems. Mostly Cab Sauvignon and Merlot with a splash of Cab Franc & Petit Verdot. Ruby with aromas of fruit and spice notes. On the palate blackberry, espresso and herb notes. Tight tannins, medium+ length, good balance ending with a toasty smoky character.

Lots of earthy baking spices and a core of ripe dark fruit. Tannins were a touch grainy but really nice to chew on without being too drying.

Very good. More approachable at a young age than the 2015 vintage. Dark fruits balanced with tobacco, cedar, and a bit of mint on the finish. Opened for about 45 min prior to drinking.

Still very burly and tannic. Quite minerally. Took a couple hours to reveal any hint of fruit. In the end a solid value Bordeaux that needs more time.

Discordant and raw. Does not improve with air. Not an interesting wine.

Some spice and tobacco/cedar, fruit not really coming through. Not smooth like other Bordeaux
