Medium to full bodied, dark and rich, with long legs and a big nose. The nose has a nice balance of big, juicy dark fruits, some vanilla, woody hints (like wet mulch) and almost blueberry pie like notes on a big nose. The palate still has some zingy spice and acidity, with nicely integrated tannins, some meaty iron notes, and a long finish of graphite, woody notes and an alcohol like freshness similar to menthol.

Great nose, but too young, grapy.and too acidic. Some nice spice. Out of balance. Moderate tannins, softer finish. Something good may be happening here… in a few years.
