2019 vintage. Tiny Lalande de Pomerol estate (2 hectares, less than 5 acres), owned by Bernadette Lacour. The wine is sold by Yves Glotin, who makes some of the best value wines in the confidential Graves de Vayres appellation. Underneath there is a very good wine, but for my taste the smoky oak is dominating, making it a bit vulgar. Not that it is overoaked, it is more a matter of the toasting of the oak that prevents me of giving a higher score. If you do like toasty oak, you will rate this higher. Good value anyway for 12 euros. Abv. 14,5%.
