St. Emilion satellite. Little subdued in finish, 14 % alc. Could be better balanced but not unpleasant. Dark cherry notes.

A silken Montagne-Saint-Émilion with abundant fresh harvest fruit. A wine like this makes me crave some excellent cheese--the only thing harder to find than good wine in sub-Saharan Africa...the hot climate and frequent power outages don't support it well. Astonishingly, a friend discovered an expat French cheese maker fabricating a dozen different artisanal cheeses from local zébu milk (oxen). Flavors ranging from fresh & creamy to aged & magnificently robust. Unbelievable...and unbelievably good with this wine:)
