Vintage 2011 | In praise of the cooperatives ☺️ This wine from Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Abouriou was really hard when young. And now after 12 years it reveals its qualities: cherries and spices in smell, smooth velvety taste, very vibrant and still with tannins present. It gives joy. Paired with spaghetti garlic, anchovies and parsley.

Vintage 2011 / It’s incredible what a good cave cooperative can achieve with good selection. This Château Bazin is made from merlot, cab franc, malbec and abouriou. Really dark colour, 4/4, can not see through it. Some colouring at the edge. Attractive smell with great freshness for a wine with this age, some cassis. Velvety and rich taste in the mouth. Slowly starts to reveal its qualities. Paired with halibut with ginger and Shanghai paksoi with rice.

Merlot, cabernet franc, malbec, abouriou. Very promising, same level as good Bordeaux Cru Bourgeois. Must be a great joy to taste this in a year of five.
