2000: medium Garnet. Showing very smoky, earthy and Brett notes, leather and meat. Lovely developed black fruit notes, good mineral notes. Medium + bodied, well integrated tannin (still slightly grainy) and quite good acid. Has 4-5 years on it. Very good.

Cedar and gravel dominate on the nose, rose petal and some sweet smokiness, light bacon fat & underbrush, herbal certainly entering it's developed stage as the fruit takes a back seat (light cranberry & redcurrant). In the mouth this has amazing freshness, great acidity and umami notes on the red berry finish, wonderfully drinkable!

Definitely showing its age, but also displaying an underlying elegance.

Delicious. Smooth tannins but with enough acidity to give perfect balance. Very long on the finish.

Very smooth, better the day after. Aged wines do lose an edge as the tannins dissipate but very good at 18 years old!

Animal, earthy, black cherry, peppery complex wine. Mellow and soft, long finish of more red fruits. Very good Bordeaux.
