Just bought this in Chamonix - while it's not a Puy Ducasse, it was a good value and the only 2009 I could find! Very fruit forward for a Bordeaux, and it does not taste like the classic expression that would cellar for decades. The wine has nice structure and opened nicely after 30 in bottle and 15 in the glass. The softness of the merlot is readily apparent (and pleasing). A nice off label Pauillac if you find it on the menu traveling around France.

Feb 17th, 20172009 vintage. Basic but Well-balanced. A fruit-forward Bordeaux that's a bit hot, possibly due to the vintage. Nose is a bit spicy. Silky smooth finish with Well-integrated oak. Pairs great with lamb.
