Crisp, light, bright, refreshing. Perfect if you want the freshness of a prosecco but also some depth from the methode champenoise.

Sipping Fine Wine

In the summer of 1989, in the culinary world, traditional dishes were being reinvented by chefs exploring adventurous new cuisine. At Caymus, they were similarly inspired to break free of the norm and began to redefine white wine. And in 1989, Conundrum was born. Light straw with tropical and citrus aromas. Tiny bubbles explode with added floral notes. On the palate peachy melon flavors with lemon zest. Generous minerality show up on the lingering crisp finish.

I'm not much for sparkling, but this was really good! Nice nose on the front and the fruit is great on the palette. Not too bitter on the finish. Enjoyed with homemade blue cheese and home grown cucumbers.

Lots of bubbles, not a lot of substance. Kind of reminds me of a cheap Chard/club soda cocktail. It's a ok as a happy hour wine or a summer BBQ, but comparing it to a decent champagne it misses the mark. A great wine to bring to share at a friends house as it has a great story, I'll stick to other wines to drink.

I usually drink sweet wines. To me, this is dry, buy not unpleasant. A nice wine to sip on with friends!
