The Velvet Devil Washington State Merlot

Dark ruby color. Aromas and flavors of dark berry, currant and plum fruit, tobacco, cedar and baking spices. A bit of RS on the finish. Quite concentrated and rich but pretty well balanced. This has become a grocery store wine (excellent QPR) but it is respectable for a barbecue. Thanks for sharing, Keith S!

Dry. Flavors of plum, vanilla, cinnamon, peppercorn. Medium-rich, velvety tannins.

Color if purple and light gray note. Nose of ripe berries, many different kinds, plum, and average fragrance. Taste is quite sweet and hint of grape juice note, a bit spicy, yet a bit watery. Aftertaste shows some warmth from alcohol. Ok.

Dry. Flavors of cassis, vanilla, licorice. Medium-rich, smooth tannins.
