Deep purple color, not much on the nose. Nice simple everyday drinking wine. Not overly fruity, but you do get the black berry and cherry on the tongue. I would pick up more.

Not as velvety as some but nice coating mouthfeel for a wine of that price. Pleasant flavor and certainly quaffable. Bright young fruit up front and short finish.

Nothing Complex here. But for the money it is a real crowd pleaser.

2018 slightly better. Still great. Black cherry. Maybe a hint of plum.

Color of bubbly purple, nice legs. Nose is fruity of dark berries, like blackberry and grapes, some ripe pineapple too, spice, a bit fermented cabbage, a bit peppery, and a bit coke cola. Taste is mellow tannins and a bit sweet, with bittersweet zest plus the notes from the nose. Aftertaste is a bit overpowered by bitterness. Average.

Charles Smith Wines ‘The Velvet Devil’ Merlot 2019: Medium-full body. Medium acidity. Full flavor. Fruity dark fruits. Cherry. Plum. Currant. Vanilla. Baking spice. Smooth, round finish. Although this wine would not be my primary selection, overall it is a good everyday Merlot. Great value if you are looking for a medium “everything across the board” wine! Have a great day! Cheers🍷
