One of the K Vintners wines I’ve not had yet. Not your typical Italian Sangiovese. While the Guido is young, it’s not half bad. Very light in color & as well a light expression of Sangiovese. On the nose, dark & light cherries, tomato with leaf, candied strawberries, cherry cola, dark minerals, stones, understated baking spices, light mid spice and bright red florals. The body is round and full with bright red cassis that slides into gritty minerality. The flavors match the nose with a little mint added. Worked fairly well with our linguini with sun dried tomato and spicy Italian sausage. Pictures of Owner and Winemaker Charles Smith and his motorcycle kept in his Walla Walla location. @Eric S have you had? $30 at Costco.

Bizarro wine. Says Sangiovese/Syrah. Looks like a dark Rose in the glass. Well made, delicate wine with decent complexity. A little thin for my taste but quality stuff. Good mid week food wine that got it done with Parmesan crusted Sole. Had me confused for awhile- do I like it or not? 🤔. Wished for more nose.
