Let’s just start with the obvious: this is the quintessential cheap wine that is generally used to separate the non-discerning wine drinker from the supposed wine snobs. If you want to prove you don’t actually care about wine, you drink this and loudly proclaim it to your snobby friends. With that out of the way:

Opaque red with a tinge of brown. Smells of BRIGHT candied cherries and cough syrup. Thick and viscous, slightly sweet. Lots of vanilla. Jammy but low acidity. Few tannins. Quick finish.

It’s not a wine one drinks for the joy of exploring and tasting. It’s merely a vessel for social drinking and carefree sipping. At $4 a bottle, its a real value.

It’s not really worth the calories but it’s honestly not even close to the worst wines I’ve ever had.

Pretty good every day wine especially @ $4.00. Better than some more expensive red blends.

Decent for the price. Even my daughter noticed it was more res than dark purple like most of my wines. LOL. Ok. Not great. Fair for price.

Believe it or not. If you get the right batch of this red blend.....it blows away many of the higher priced, big named wineries and puts them to shame. Nice Blend Chuck and a outstanding price.

7/14/2020 - Trader Joe's - $2.99
A little bit juicier and smoother than the Cab Sav. Best cheap wine; better than $6 wine from Costco
