Second time having this re-release; I’ve come much farther in appreciating this wine. It’s not meant to be part of a lineup - instead to be appreciated for a single meal with great company. Subtly deep secondary notes of leather/sousbois, with a great complement of cherry and balanced tannins. It was balanced enough to make a great paring with Korean yakiniku (and now I’ve got a new fav resto in Fukuoka).
