Entry is dark, blackberry but a hint of iodine, pepper. And that's just the entry! The middle of this wine is where a bit of an herbal note shows, but mostly black and blue fruits with some toasted walnuts. Finishes dark, deep, black licorice, black pepper on top of a great core of black and blue fruit. Has a touch of vanilla extract on the finish. This wine has many years to go. @Ryan Vento this is definitely one worth acquiring!

Strong oak, green pepper, cedar, cherry and alcohol on the nose; fairly abrasive. The palate is very rich with spices, tobacco, and faint blackberry. Needs a bit nore acid to balance out. Firm tannis. Chocolate covered strawberries and spice medium finish. Good, but unbalanced.

Jan 1st, 2016Great Howell Mt fruit! Big bold dark flavors. Blackberry, currant, leather, tobacco. Beautiful rich tannins that will rip the enamel off all the while inviting you back for more.
