Deep purplish red. Layered nose with anise, licorice and dark fruits. HEavy tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Lots of minerality, dark berries, twigs, cinnamon, anise, spices and some great structure. Long and lingering finish. Have only briefly heard of this wine before and quite impressed. Drink till 2028.

Still too young as it was just bottled weeks ago, but it definitely shows lots of promise. Dense, dark fruit and mild tannins. Give it a couple years and it'll be a knockout.

smoke on the nose, well balanced on the palate. you still get the smoke and cedar box in the palate with a hint of vegetal. overall great for a #Cab #rutherford

Quite frankly… disappointed. Waited 10 years for this wine. Expected some nice complexity, nice aging notes of worn leather, cigar box, autumn fall forest floor… nope, none of that. Just dark, oaky fruit like so many Napa cabs…. We had some aged, 40+ (high fat !!) Gouda cheese with it Wapenaer my favorite) . That brought out a bit more fruit character and depth to the wine.

Rich, warm, incredibly deep red purple wine. I chose this and specifically because I spent a good chunk of the morning in a cool duck blind and then later in a fishing boat gathering my supper. It warmed the heart and the soul and was specifically what I was looking for. Heavy tannins, rich depth of fruit that went from coldpressed to almost roasted. Light spices with a little bit of licorice and spice as you can find in a good cocktail versus in cooked food. Paired it with a pork chop roasted with heavy paprika and garlic. Wonderful.

Jan 9th, 2022Intense! Vibrant dark red fruit flavors of cherry, currant and mulberry. Spicy oak fully integrated with this high energetic, flavorful wine. Paired it with our first steak we bought at our local Costco!!! Yes, in Meridian. That was Tammy’s requirement before we could become a member 🤣. Deng good steak!! Even better wine.
