Well balanced and precise chardonnay at the opposite of the old cliché of californian chardonnay.
Beautiful nose, slightly reductive note that are charming, slight flint. Super fresh, white flowers, hay.
In the mouth: on day 1 a bit deceptive, high acidity and fairly closed. Felt too green. Day 2 opened ip more roundness and friendlyness.
Probably way to early to open, I’d give a couple more years in the cellar..

Love this. Impeccably balanced. Depth, energy, and precision matched up with alluring perfume and texture. Loved watching it evolve the past couple days. Stones, mint, tart citrus fruits give way to orange peel, honeydew rind, white flowers, spice, a subtle flinty edge.

Very mineral driven but this is starting to evolve.

I’ve read some reviews of this from people experienced with Ceritas and they were finding this a rare disappointing wine. I was hoping to be contrary but my initial impression was that this lacked the finish and zing these Chardonnays normally have. So I decided to experiment by trying it over the course of the week. If it’s possible to simulate some of the effects of aging this way—and I don’t know that you can—my sense was that this improved and so might be worth stashing these a way for a bit and revisiting them down the line.

Compared to the 2018, this has more body and a delightful savory element. Fantastic.

Champagne like brioche at the finish, bright salt at the front, yellow/green color, and a mineral driven nose. This is very tastey and great now but could benefit from some years.
