Un peu déçu par ce vin... Très bon, mais je m'attendais à plus. C'est souvent le ça avec les vins rapportés de voyage.

Decant; a lot. Not ready to drink. Wait a few years. In the meantime, this wine is big and earthy. High alcohol. Grippy tannins. Medium-high acidity. Nose: tart, coffee, garlic, hint of chili spice, pepper, barnyard, hint of vanilla. Palate: tart, gamey, leather, bittersweet chocolate. Ironically short and chalky finish. Lots of sediment as expected. Overall, in its present state, this wine is kind of...unrepentant. It stubbornly wants to go back into the bottle for a while yet. It is reminiscent of a kid who wants to play outdoors, but, instead, is forced to learn how to play the high notes on a violin in a small windowless room. It’s color is that of the stone andalusite.

Not a fan of Ceretto's wines at all but on this chapeau...great stuff! and reasonable price too.
