Sunny afternoon called for an impromptu glass of rosé the the neighborhood rose garden. Rosehip, hibiscus, strawberry and watermelon rind as the clouds move slowly by against the blue. What’s not to love?

I. Can’t. Stop. Opening. This. Wine. Pitch perfect pink in all its glory. Let’s have Vanessa Wong make all of the rosé in CA! Ok maybe not all of it but at least more of this! Strawberry watermelons citrus zinger surprise.

One of my go-to California rosés, all Rosé hip and hibiscus snap with red berries underneath. Crisp and zingy and utterly gulpable. Vanessa Wong has the touch. 2019 Cep (Peay Vineyards) Rosé of Pinot Noir. @Peay Vineyards @Nick Peay

Great rosé below 13%, seemed to be picked at rather low brix with the low alcohol and high acidity. Easy and enjoyable to drink. A top notch CA rosé

The pale-colored 2020 Rosé of Pinot Noir Hopkins Ranch is fresh, aromatic and light on its feet. Drink this aperitif-styled Rosé over the next year or two. Cranberry, green pear, chalk and white flowers add shades of nuance to this bright, crisp Rosé from the Peay family's Cep label. $20.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, February 2021)

Yay! Rose season. Does an empty bottle tell you anything? Bright, plenty of acidity. I should order more :-)

Lovely light peachy color. Smells like strawberries and light florals. Tastes like super juicy strawberries upfront, followed by almost an orange peel flavor, and then a long ripe strawberry finish. Not very sweet, still pretty tart and refreshing. Good acid but it's a fun sipper because strawberries. #rosè #thinkpink #pinotnoir #spring #dogsofdelectable #strawberry #russianrivervalley
