Interesting intro to modern Sicily 70% Nero 30 Merlot. Medium garnet color and fruity stony nose with acidic palate and medium finish. Good red sauce food wine though. AA7 deal!

Color - Deep ruby
Nose - fruit forward. Dried cherry and craisin. Has a little bit of a port scent, a bit grapey.
Palate - full body, medium high acidity. lots of fruit, especially dried cherry, figs, and grape. Round tannins. Hints of tobacco.
Interesting wine, different than what I'm used to. Not sure if this is typical for a Nero d'Avola. Pretty good for the price ($12 on Lastbottle)

Tasty every day red. Loads of fruit, balanced by a touch of smokiness and nice acidity. Actually opened this Tuesday night, stuck it in the fridge and forgot about it. Still drinking beautifully today!
