Apr 2nd, 20152001 vintage drinking super smooth like nothing else I've ever had. Dried red and black fruit with a creaminess on the palate that was quite enjoyable. Surprising amount of fruit and has certainly aged well. Quite a lot of alcohol in this one too but overall a solid pick!

I could not tell if the nose had more plum than blackberry or vice versa. But I can say blueberries won out on the palate. There was some dirty rock as well and a touch of spice that lingered for a while. Overall average to me. It did have some nice touches, may have better with food.

Wine definitely opened up more at the 2 hr mark of aeration. Served with skirt steak. Great compliment.

Not fantastic - many of the fruit flavors seem to have died off, and the spiciness seems a little brittle and muted. Clearly past maturity but still easy to drink.

Dark ruby bordering on purple. Long legs on the class but not heavy. Medium bodied. Spice, plum, green pepper and blueberry on the nose. Powerful alcohol smell. On the palate unripened blueberry, tart fruits and somewhat slightly over-acidic. The finish is surprisingly quick. It's past its prime but still worth drinking.
