Old cherry red with opaque ruby rim. Very clear aromas of dirt, eucalyptus, sage, and red cherry. Delicious red cherry flavors as well, with minty flare towards the third quarter. Black cherry acidity. Very simple but great pizza or spaguetti wine. 85 pts.

Jun 26th, 2014Even when drinking inexpensive Chianti, it is still so gracious. It's cherry-like acidity, so perfect, focused and brilliant is really delicious. This wine is old dark cherry red with very faint brickish rim. Very earthy aromas, red bell pepper, red currant and raspberries covered in dirt. Pure cherry juice with coppery structure and that beautiful acidity that makes you crave for red sauce spaghetti. Very unsophistiated Chianti that really rocks my boat! 88 pts.
