In 1893, Luigi Cecchi set up his own business as a wine taster and broker. Ruby with concentrated fruit aromas and earthy spice. On the palate blackberry and blueberry flavors with garden herbs. Tannins are soft, medium finish ending with earthy character. Wine should be consumed now, no additional benefit from bottle aging.

Nice, quaffable. Fruit forward and in a quite modern style. I'm thinking a bit of cab or merlot might be in the mix..?

We are making Ossobuco tonight so most of this bottle is going in that. This glass I’m sipping as we prepare the meat; spicy floral on the nose like that red salvia flower I love and smooth on the way down.

Has a nice richness but almost akin to a tomato paste. Would be a good pairing with a strong Italian meal but a little tart on its own.
