Over the top of course, but managing to slalom down the slope of disappointment with great finesse, avoiding pretty much all of the stakes and pitfalls of olfactory and palletal misfortune. It's pale as hell; and smells of relatively clean barnyard floors, scrimped button mushrooms, cherry and blackberry compote, and puppies' feet; 'tw's still tannic for an hour and a half until they started to fade and were replaced by theretofore hidden VA. Not a bad drop!

Deep ruby color. Tea leaves, cocoa powder, mushrooms, dried red fruits, fresh herbs spice. Integrated dusty tannins. Bright acid. Velvety finish. Cigar box. Lots of room to improve.

Raisin color. Oak aroma, fruity with black currant flavor. A bit spicy. One hour later, vanilla flavor and chocolate like concentration could be felt. @7106, AdW - TH, 170401-180505
