2008. Bizarre color in glass. If served blind, color looks light red, almost like Pinot. Nice red fruit with a bit of volcanic rock taste. I would never have guess cab. Has a light Syrah or Grenache profile with delicate feel to it. weird but it is good. Make you think about varietal character in different regions and style.

2006 was amazing. A rich wine with a lot going on. Intense spice and fruit jam flavors. Not too tight. It's just what the name implies.
