Instense and saturated with roasted black plum and mulberry fruit, tar, grilled porcini, espresso bean, pork blood, curing salt, hoisin, smoked meat, leather, hot iron, metal, apricot confit, grapefruit oil, talcum, roasted herbs de Provence, whole cluster spice like pepper and almost mustard seed, Absolutely wild in its length, complexity, and elixir-like headiness. Some people hate, but this is arguably one of the most unique terroirs for Syrah on earth.

Pepper a raw steak. Throw in some Worcester sauce and Italian herbs, blend it up and somehow find a way to make that into a WINE and this is the backbone of this wine. VERY meaty backbone. There was good black fruit puree in there as well to provide somewhat of a balance. These Cayuse Syrahs are no joke, and definitely accomplish what they were set out to accomplish! For a wine that I did not think was going to finish soft and elegant, it finished soft and elegant!

Bell pepper and, well, bell pepper, with smoked meat/bacon fat on the finish. Outstanding! Good selection, Sammy, and congrats!

Tasted blind. I would hve bet my first six kids this was a high end cote Rotie (not quite LaLa level). The black pepper was off the chart. Never had an American terroir put off this much earth. Put it on your buy list
