A sub $30 Pinot that's worth drinking? Absolutely. I get a lot of cranberries, coco and mushrooms on the nose. A bit smoky, like old camp site smoky, which isn't a bad thing. The spice is delicious. The fruit is a bit dull, but the complexity does come through. There's a healthy dose of acid and tannin here as well. To be honest, this should really cellar for another 3 years to let it smooth out a bit.

Very full for a Pinot, lengthy finish with defined tannins.

Looking for a <$10 old world pinot? Tallest midget among several wimpy burgundies I've recently tasted. Light in color and in taste, slightly tannic. Better on its own and slightly chilled than when it came to temp. I prefer it over this chateau's entry cote de beaune, especially for the price, but a humble slice of pizza was all it took to obliterate the trace fruits. Good party wine that won't offend.

Acidic for a Pinot. Disappointing actually. I'm not saying that's bad, Just not preferable . There are better from France. I will look elsewhere in the region .
