Promising start, blackberry fruit, maybe a touch of raspberry. Furry tannins. With a few hours tannins start to disappear and fruit dies. Dilutes and looses its structure. Second night threw the rest of the bottle out.
Northern Rhone / Crozes Hermitage; Syrah, 10 euro, $15.

100% Syrah
Classic Syrah appearance - pitch dark, deep purple, opaque but fresh and young

Correct Northern Rhone signature aromas with cassis, meatiness, bacon fat, with floral elegance

The palate however was a bit disappointing after such an impressive bouquet. Med high to high tannin, medium plus acidity. Quite hallow at the mid palate. Cassis and violet came through.

It may need 2-3 more hours of air time to open up (Pnp). Ideally 10 years of proper cellaring would see the best of it. 88+
