Esprit de Granit St. Joseph Syrah

Yet another exemplary wine from this co-op. Bloody and irony on the nose, some nice fruit underneath the primal elements. Very linear on the palate, medium body but great intensity of savory flavors. So soft and enveloping but without excess weight. Very nice acids.

Meat, black pepper, purple flowers: violets. Fresh and balanced red/blue/dark fruits. Black olives. Intense purple color. Medium plus staining. Medium plus to elevated acidity, tannin and body. Smooth finish.

Very nice and ripe with a pepper spiciness that comes through on the finish. Alcohol rides through though even though there isn't much of it (12.5%)

Earthy smell. Hint of smoke and tobacco

Moldy smell at the nose but taste delicious!
