Cave de Tain l'Hermitage
Crozes-Hermitage Marsanne
Bright yellow gold. Looks heavy. Big nose of white flowers and beeswax. Full-bodied palate of white flowers, underripe papaya, and beeswax with an earthy banana peel note on the back palate and moderate finish. Medium plus acidity wrapped up inside it all from entry. Marsanne isn’t the most interesting variety, but it shows well here. Needs a hearty meal to be at its best. Roasted poultry (particularly game fowl) or pork (wild boar… see where I’m going with this?) would be a wonderful match. Drink now through 2024.
