Rich brick red color. After 10 minutes of breathing it was still quite astringent and tannin-forward, but once 30 minutes or so had passed it was a lot more mellow and smooth. Minerals, black pepper, and some subtle plum are what I tasted. Decent for the price but I’d like to try some other Chianti’s before returning to this one.

Always associated Chianti with a little bite... this was silk smooth and ruby red... the Sangiovese rounds it off smooth ripe berry and softening floral violet as it goes down
