Bright clear ruby garnet. Dirty black cherry on the nose and medium-bodied palate. Medium plus acidity. Medium tannins. Solid budget Chianti. Great with pizza, pasta, or grilled meats. Drink now.

Fruity on the nose, bitter on the tongue. Not the best Chianti.

A rather fruity Chianti. Slightly tart. DOCG but no black rooster on the label. People who have toured the region know what I’m talking about. Have had better Chianti’s...

What I was looking for in a Chianti: A nice, flavoured dinner companion that marries up nicely to a hearty red sauce pasta meal. Unobtrusive yet full flavoured, a light but established presence on the pallet goes down so nicely. Easy to quaff as the enjoyable red mature fruit notes hang back behind the rope, but still close enough to the action to influence your glass...a nice glass to enjoy with a hearty meal!
