Bourgueil Cabernet Franc

Finessed, pure red fruit. Tart acid. Touch of herb, pepper and mineral. A bit primary, but that primary profile is very delicious.

Fresh red fruit, a little herbal and peppery with a big dose of minerality. Really good stuff

Lower score than previous wine rated because this wine is still so young. Cab franc. Wonderful disposition.

Loire valley red not very popular this is 200% Cabernet franc this is from ungrafted vines grown in sandy soils

Classic Loire valley cab franc from 2001 at the Morris SF. Incredible perfumed nose, according to the som12% alcohol pointed to a time before climate change gripped the region changing the character of the wine

This was a good wine but the ‘96 was better. Quintessential loire valley can franc — very herbal, almost minty.

Bright with blueberry and black raspberry fruit with hint of tomato leaf. Textured with fresh acidity over black fruit with integrated tannins. Drinking know but tannins seem to indicate good upside for next 3 or 4 years.
