Castello Monaci
Kreos Salento Negroamaro Rosato
A nicely dry and fruity glug for a summer weekend afternoon.

Jul 13th, 2015Damn, I had this at a tasting and fell head over heels for it- I remember that I couldn't get anything on the nose so when I tasted the balance and the wonderful finish and unique flavors on the tongue I was blown away.
Then I bought a bottle... And it was a completely different wine.
Still nothing on the nose and the taste was flat - I saw potential in this wine and will explore more rosé from the Negroamaro grape.
(I split my rating between the 8.0 and the 9.+)

Full bodied. Not super dry or super fruity. It's decently good. Would happily order it. $12/glass at Eataly

Aug 3rd, 2017Toffee, honey, sour fruit on nose. Big mouthfeel, tannins, fruity/candy qualities. Probably good with some type of light food, not my first choice to drink by itself.
