Day 2 was much better. The nose is perfumed with licorice, truffles, bitter dark chocolate and dried dark fruits.
The palette is smooth with sandalwood, balsamic notes and leather. Tannins are integrated. On the finish, the wine tilts to the tart side, but in a pleasant way.
For sure, this needs O2 before consumption. It's dry and needs food to complement it. Can be further cellared, but won't evolve to a better spot, so drink over the next 24 months.

Needed to wait a bit for it to open up. The color is a gorgeous dark red plum and the nose is a bit woodsy. I taste a bit of jam and oak. Dry, for sure.
