Castello di Amorosa 2013 merlot. Big jammy merlot! I am not a real merlot fan, but this is about as good as it gets. Heavy bottle! 14.8%. Strawberry rhubarb pie on the nose. The initial pallet is loaded with blackBerries raspberries, cherries, and boysenberry. The fill is very rich in the mouth. A full body wine. The finish is very short and Jammy. Hints of chocolate and butter. Maybe a hint of honey and oak at the end. No spice. No lingering sour anything. Moderately dry. Yeah, well it’s a perfect Merlot.
