Castello di Amorosa
Dolcino Gewürztraminer
Golden in color.
Very aromatic on the nose with honey and wild flowers.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.
Off dry on the palate and creamy, with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel.

Nice smooth finish with honey and spices.
This is a very tasty and easy drinking Gewurztraminer from Anderson Valley in california. Creamy and rich with a soft mouthfeel.
Easy drinking and good by itself as a sipping wine.
Nicely balanced with enough acidity to balance the extra sugars.
Better when properly chilled, and good for the pool and for parties.
12.9% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
$33.

Really sweet, more of a dessert wine. Can apparently pair with spicy food.

Apr 14th, 2024Absolutely amazing for a sweet wine. Not that sweet at all. Smooth and fruity.

May 9th, 2017Just tried this wine last night. I'm not generally a sweet wine drinker, but this was a pretty nice surprise. My wife opened it by mistake, thinking it was a dry wine, while I was saving it for a fish meal.
This wine reminds me of an alcoholic tea brew I had in Maine last year. I really enjoyed it. This wine must be served cold!

Jul 16th, 2016Did not care for most of the wines from Castello do Amorosa, but this one was different. Strong lychee flavors and easy to drink. Pairs well with Japanese food.
