This is a very tasty Chianti Classico Reserva. This 7 year old is still young, but already enjoyable even by itself.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with red and black fruits, oak, coffee, earth, spices, vegetables, tobacco leaf and peppercorn.
Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years.
A good food wine that I paired with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
A blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo. Aged in French oak barrels for 24 months.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Apr 4th, 2023It is 32 degrees at 20.00 hrs and we are sitting in a beautiful garden enjoying a fantastic dinner with the family. Perhaps that gives a slightly higher grade….. 😉 the wine is true to type with some hints of chocolate even. Silky.

Jul 6th, 2020Deep ruby hue. Dried cherries, prune, fig, tobacco, nutmeg, dried mint, basil, oregano, sage, vanilla, earth, and cedar notes on the nose and palate. Soft edges and a nice complement to a homemade pie. Vintage 2015. 13.5% ABV. 90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo.
