Found this bottle in an enoteca during our skiing holiday(at 35€!!!). Tertiary notes on the nose but secondary in taste. Age 25 and still going strong. Nevertheless I prefer the Sammarco in a younger phase. If tasted blind I would have guessed a left bank Bordeaux. I adore this winery, a big “bravo”!

Quite a dynamo. Somehow big and puckery and yet not overwhelming. Seems like it'll age for another 21+ years.
